Handmade décor and jewelry created with natural and sustainable materials such as natural gemstones and crystals, hemp, recycled glass, recycled plastic, as well as hand collected shells, feathers and driftwood.
Many of the materials used are sourced locally or from small businesses located within the US.

How it Started
Makana Kai began with an incredible love of the sea and the desire to share it with others. Born and raised by a beach bunny on the east coast of Florida I have had a love for the sea since before I could even speak and have been in awe of the beauty and magic of seashells since before I could walk.
As someone who loves to collect art from different places and cultures came a desire to make something special for all you sea lovers, mermaids and beach bunnies! These pieces have been handcrafted from the beautiful shells, feathers and wood that have washed upon our shorelines. I have also incorporated many beautiful stones & crystals uniquely to each piece.
The world we live in is beautiful and unique, just as we all are! We are so similar to these shells. They may be unique in color, ridged differently, broken, soft or strong, young or old...but still uniquely and beautiful created in their own way. So let this be a reminder that you are the only you who exists, that is uniquely created, molded and imperfectly beautiful inside and out.
